This morning we woke up to sunny skies which was a relief after a day of heavy downpours yesterday.
Even the lorikeets seemed a bit more lively when they came down for breakfast.
It was just a few minutes and the rain was back - as you can see it was tumbling over the guttering and onto the veranda.
The garden looks very lush of course and our tank is flowing over.
I have spent a lot of the weekend sorting through the lace and doilies I have been dyeing lately.
This pink one is particularly pretty.
The pale green of this one reminds me of autumn mornings: not sure why.
We are still waiting for a proper summer but I guess we can be thankful that the weather has not caused us harm or loss.
I am so far with reading and commenting on blogs. Hopefully I will have a chance to read a little tomorrow.

Those doilies turned out lovely thats a very pretty shade of pink ! hope the sun comes out soon for you ! i would love a little sunshine so fed up of this snow and freezing temps.
How lucky you are to see the lorikeets on a regular basis Dian. They are such pretty birds. Lovely to see a bit of rain though, it's been so hot and humid here. The weather has been awful throughout the country at the moment. After all our water, we now need a shower of rain!! I know that sounds silly, but it's true. I love the pieces of crochet, they actually look so different when you have them dyed. You are certainly achieving some lovely colours.
