purple pieces

I have been away from my blog for a little while but am back again now.

At last I have finished the 40 day creativity experiment piece.

Although the challenge was to work on a piece for at least a minute each day for 40 days, I didn't manage to work on this everyday.

My time and enthusiasm was somewhat curbed by several visits to doctors and a short stay in hospital over the past few weeks.

Fortunately there was good news at the end of it all but the uncertainty did take a heavy toll.  If it wasn't for a very understanding doctor who understood my anxiety and my dear friend Linda who listened to me when I needed to talk I am not sure how I would have coped.  It is times of great stress that you know who you can truly count on.  Thanks Linda.

As a result my creative urges have been pushed to one side and although I have been reading blogs I haven't felt much like commenting.

Today was a beautiful spring day and it is amazing how a little sunshine can put the smile back.

Anyway the second pic is of  prostanthera ovalifolia native mint bush which is in bloom in our garden at present.

keep smiling! sometimes its the only way to get through things when life gets tough. although most of the time it is only a thin veneer holding it all together. i hope that your troubles are now over and you can concentrate on the things you love like family, friends, gardening, and sewing.

Lovely to see your 'no thinking' project Dian, and how well it's ended up!! I love it. The native mint bush is very pretty too. I am so pleased you are feeling in a more positive frame of mind. I am sorry too that I've been very slack with blogging just lately. Take care.

Oh Dian, I'm sorry to read you have been so unwell. My hubby has also had a bad time lately with four days in hospital, but like you, he has recovered, and is back at work. My exhibition at Bundoora finishes up on Sunday, and after that my time will be free again, so I look forward to catching with you for a coffee and an opshop crawl whenever you are ready ;-)
