PLAYTIME IN THE WORK ROOM

I have been revisiting my scraps and left overs lately and I have to admit to having difficulty throwing anything out.   Instead i have been stitching tiny scraps to small scaps to larger leftovers to see how they work together.  Once they are of a useful size I can fold them and put them away for later.

I am quite happy with the results so far.

In the meantime I have bought three more pots of fabric dye and of course they needed to be used immediately.

I will post some pics of what I dyed once the camera, fabric & computer are all in the same place.

Isn't this a perfect kitchen: not so good for cooking but great for playing with colour.

Glad you've had fun playing with dyes- always a fascinating thing to do.
Don't you just love going through scraps of fabric.I keep all my scraps now as fabric collage needs lots of different fabrics, textures etc!

Looks like you are continuing to have fun with your stash Dian. I keep watching anxiously to see what exciting things you've come up with. I haven't done any dyeing since you were here, but I feel like doing some threads again, as soon as this inclement weather leaves us. Your creative space looks so very appealing.

Thanks Judy & Linda, I must admit I am a bit tired of my mess and am trying to make sense of it.

Judy, I am keen to try some serious collage soon.
Linda, everytime I do fabric dyeing it reminds me of that happy day and I thank you for teaching me about colouring my own fabrics.

Hi Dian, Scraps can be so addictive. I love doing all sorts of things with scraps and have done a quilt top using small and large scraps joined altogether. It was so much fun. If you would like to look at it here is the link.
