tyvek treasures

Tyvek is one of my favourite materials to play with.

It is so easy to use: painting, stitching and distorting with heat all give great results.

I find lumiere paints give a rich effect and respond well to heat.

Organza ribbon and a fabric flower are added to this piece.

This tiny face was also painted with lumiere.

I used copper wire to create some structure behind this and the organza ribbon is combined with metallic angelina fibre.

This also has copper wire on the back and the hair is made from silk tops.

Ooh, these are all so yummy, I must go back to my tyvek, I used to do a lot with it, but have ignored it for quite awhile now. Cheers

Dian, I love this Tyvek work, and the paints are so pretty. I'm just not a Tyvek girl, just can't seem to get the hang of it. perhaps it's the hard texture, I guess I like soft things? But you obviously have embraced this medium with relish.

What fun you've had with these Dian. I love the tiny face with the feather, it's so cute. I like Tyvek too, and love to use it for textile work. Haven't played with it for some time now. Hope the weather will warm up for us all soon.

Wow! Dianne, I'm always amazed at what your imagination can bring forth. These things are colourful and so individual. Bet you really enjoyed creating them.
