Well, I managed to finish the needlebook and added a scissor fob and pin cushion. I took the unfinished pieces with me when we visited friends for lunch on Sunday and was thrilled to have time to finish it off. I am trying to make one needle book each month - so far so good. Well actually I am one month behind but am catching up.
Today I received two lovely magazines in the post - Inspirations and Creative Machine Embroidery & Textile Art. Inspirations is full of lovely projects including a needlebook and some pin cushions.

I haven't looked at Creative Machine Embroidery & Textile Art yet. I will save it for later.
Anyway, I have added some pics of the needlebook. Hope you like it.

Oh, it is lovely to see your project finnished! The combination of red and green works well. Is there a special reason why you want to make a needlecase a month?
I too am looking forward to my copy of Inspiration, it will take longer to get to me, lucky you!
Do you take sewing to friend's houses? I want to (i hate the thought of all that unused stitching time) but am not sure if it is good manners to pull out a project?? It is like using the sewing machine when i am on the phone; my mother once told me it was very bad manners but now I do it with my friends who seem to forgive me!!LOL!
the needlecase looks very pretty; i love the material on the inside.
Lovely needlework items Dianne, how will you manage a needlecase every month? It's a lovely idea, are they all for swaps?
I also have ambitions to embroider a place mat for each month of the year, with hand made lace edging. Still only a dream!!!

Dianne, that needlecase is beautiful. Goodness, the little embroidered flower and the background silk is just perfect for the inner fabric, or should I say it the other way?? Add the lovely green felt and it's just a wonderful package. I'm pleased you managed to get some done while visiting. I take hand work, but only to certain friends. I hope you get all your needlebooks done. I'm just about finished my April needlecase.
