Wonders of Nature

I am constantly amazed at the things that appear in the garden.  I am speaking of fungi, and more precisely, mushrooms.  This morning I looked outside and there in the lawn was a beautiful, white mushroom.  Now how does that happen.  It appears, pure and white, out of the damp soil.  Anyway, I took a pic this afternoon and here it is.

I bet you are not going to pick it!

No it won't be picked but I am sure some grubs or bugs will feast on it overnight.

As I sit here drinking a hot chocolate; it looks like a marshmallow to me!!
I love going outside and finding the perfectly round, white mushrooms. They are little bits if magic

Yes, they seem somehow pure and special. It does rather remind me of a marshmallow. We also have some brown mushrooms in the front garden - they are as big as bread & butter plates and then there are tiny little orange ones all through the lawn.

Thank you for the link. Yes, it is the same thing. I have been experimenting today and will post on my blog shortly.
