Christmas Eve
It is early evening on Christmas Eve and we have enjoyed a delicious lobster salad with champagne and are now just relaxing.
I thought I would just show a few pics of my garden. It seems so simple after all the bright and brash colours of Christmas.
For many this time of year is tinged with sadness, memories of loved ones lost, illness or other misfortune.
I find comfort in nature at times like these.
The birds that visit our garden, the plants that colour our world, the nearby beach all bring joy.
Thanks to each and every one of you who have visited my blog and left words of encouragement. I really do enjoy reading other blogs: thanks to those who share their creative lives with others.
My wishes for a peaceful, joyful and loving Christmas time, and a creative new year.

Diann. I often read your blog. Extremly interesting person you are. your life amaxes me, your talent and words of wisdom. I sit here a bit teary eyed at your beautiful words and photos. I relate to the serenity you capture and the tranquility you show in your work. sadness is horrible at this time of year. my family are all ill. i have just been walked out on and yet I find a solace in your words as I sit here with very wet cheeks. your words give me inspiration that life does continue and what a beautiful place the world is.thankyou.

Heather, thank you for your generous comments. I am thankful if my blog brings some cheer to another.
I find great comfort in my stitching as well as the friendships it has brought my way.
Are you stitching anything at present? I would love to hear about it.
It is quite refreshing to see your pictures after all the white we are seeing now over here.
Thak you for all your comments, Dian. Enjoy the rest of the holiday and all the best for 2011:))
Hello Dian, just catching up here. These photos of your garden are beautiful. I love the Acanthus under the steps. I know how you feel about Christmas, it must be a sad time for many. I trust you and your family had a lovely day together. The lobster and champagne sound great. Thank you too for your blogging help and encouragement this year, and for sharing so many textile journeys with me. Our friendship means so much to me.
