I can hardly believe it myself: this wall hanging is hanging on the wall at last.
This has taken me so long to do and has been set aside more than once: now I am content with it.
The little stitcheries represent my life and the place I live; the post office, library, milk bar, the fish'n'chip shop, supermarket, the beach and picnic grounds, the CFA and the Orthodox Church, my grand-doggies, trees, birds, houses . Most of all it represents the neighbourhood that sustains me.

What a great piece of sentiment here Dianne. Love it! Something for your fanmily to treasure too.

Wonderful! How lovely to sit by this wall hanging and to see all the special places that have meaning for you. Well done.
Looking good. It did take a long time, so many elements and each one a story on it's own. xox
what a wonderful piece of work to see every day, full of all the things that mean so much to you, well done Dianne,I can see you have a wonderful life from this.
Its a great thing so that others can also look at it and see whats important to you about your neighbourhood etc. I think it has come together beautifully and that you should be very proud of it.
I know this seems to have taken a long time to complete, and I know it gave you reason for concern from time to time, but it is really worth the effort. What a lovely documentation of where you live and why. I love the little embroidered shells up the left side. Nice to see it finished. Take care, hope you are keeping warm.
